A positive and collaborative work culture is one of the most important markers of an effective team, but it won’t be built by accident. Are you or your company looking for a fun and challenging one-day event to foster strong team relationships and create memorable experiences together? Get out of the city and away from the office with Fairfield’s team building adventure day!
Able to be tailored to your group’s ability and fitness level, this event combines cycling in the gorgeous Khentii Mountains with a series of games and exercises designed to promote group cohesion and resilience when back at work. Give them a change of pace and scenery they’ll love while learning and growing closer along the way.
This event is broken into three stages. The day begins with a 2-3 hour cycle from the drop-off point to a beautiful forested area. Here, you’ll find a dining tent with tables and chairs set up for your lunch break. Enjoy a fully-catered, restaurant-quality meal surrounded by trees and birdsong. After relaxing together over lunch, our staff will guide your group through several team building activities. Finally, finish the day by cycling 2-3 hours along a different route to the pick-up zone where buses wait to take you back to the city.
Inclusions in the Adventure:
All bikes (with helmets), transport, lunch, snacks, and mineral water will be provided for every participant.
A fleet of fully-equipped support vehicles will accompany and guide your group for the entire day, providing snacks (approx. every 10km), mechanical assistance, and the opportunity to break from cycling if needed.
All support staff are trained mechanics and can provide first-aid and transport in case of emergency. Vehicles are equipped with short- and long-range radio communication equipment.
Rider types:
As above, this event can be tailored to suit your group - are they casual cyclists or avid riders?
Leisure: participants are relatively fit and comfortable with hills that are less than 800m in length. These riders also do not mind hopping in the support van when they have ridden enough. A ride of 24km is within their comfort zone with possible distances of up to 56km on a long day.
Recreational: participants enjoy an active lifestyle with an occasional physical challenge. They enjoy rolling terrain with some bigger hills that are challenging. A ride of 50km is within their comfort zone with possible distances of up to 80km on a long day.
Active: participants have a good fitness level and can manage all terrain, including hills and some moderate mountain passes. They enjoy some speed on moderate descents. A ride of 72km is within their comfort zone with possible distances of up to 112km on a long day.
Avid: the bike is central to participants’ life: they have a very good fitness level and stamina, enjoying all terrain including hills and big mountain passes with steep, technical descents. Distances of 96km are well within their comfort zone with up to 160km possible on a long day.
