DURATION:
9-12 days
GROUP SIZE:
1-4 pax
Embark on an unforgettable horseback journey through the landscape of Central Mongolia, tracing the Tamir River as it winds through the stunning Arkhangai Province into the foothills of the Khangai Mountains. Over 10-12 days, you’ll ride through some of the most pristine scenery imaginable, from rolling green valleys to rugged hills, with the towering peaks of the mountains growing closer each day.
This trek isn’t just about the views—although they’ll take your breath away. It’s also about the connections you’ll make along the way. Each night, you’ll stay with nomadic families, sharing their meals, stories, and way of life. Imagine sitting in a cosy ger (yurt), sipping salty milk tea, and learning about their traditions—a window into a world that feels at once beautifully simple and deeply tied to nature.
As you climb higher into the mountains, the air gets fresher, and the landscape more dramatic. Then comes the highlight: Blue Lake. Tucked high in the mountains, its still waters reflecting the endless sky, it’s the perfect place to pause and soak in everything you’ve experienced.
Beginning and ending at Fairfield Arkhangai, this trek offers you the freedom to disconnect from the rush of daily life and reconnect with nature, people, and the rhythm of the land.
N.B. This is not a fixed trail ride: number of days and distances covered will vary according to weather, the interests and capabilities of participants, as well as guide availability. Discuss with us how many days you have available for your trek and we will do our best to cater for you.
